LPFM EQUIPMENT

This page features various companies who manufacture, distribute, service and sell transmitters, antennas, cables, microphones, consoles, etc. In short, anything in the way of equipment needed for a new LPFM Radio facility. It should also be noted that equipment is much like other purchases in which "you get what you pay for". For example:

At the request of clients who wished to "save money", we have installed PTEK transmitters at two stations during the past ten years. One of these stations installed three 500 watt PTEK transmitters (which should last forever as they were only required to produce 250 watts!) as a main and two backups. Another station installed a single 250 watt PTEK. At both stations, the PTEK transmitters did not last more than a year or two, at most. Neither station is now using a PTEK and one of them has three PTEK transmitters stacked in a corner, collecting dust, at a cost of about $12,000.00. Needless to say, we cannot stress enough: Listen to what your engineer and others with more experience recommend! Both of these stations could've had a solid and reliable transmitter that would've lasted a nice, long time but they opted for PTEK, instead. They got what they paid for!!! Lower prices for lower quality and under-designed equipment.
